Since its founding in 1978
ACTS has been serving as a bridge between dreams and reality for many young rising stars both on and off the stage of the live entertainment industry.
The purpose of the American Collegiate Talent Showcase (ACTS) website is to help students connect to scholarships established by Barbara “Mother” Hubbard and the American Collegiate Talent Showcase (ACTS) program and its supporters.
If you would like to increase these funds for student scholars, feel free to add your donation to any of the ACTS existing scholarships. Mother Hubbard established these endowed scholarships to be self-sustaining sources of funding to help students for generations. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

About Barbara “Mother” Hubbard
Originally from Arkansas, Barbara tells people she “got to Las Cruces, New Mexico as quick as she could.” That was in 1954. Since her arrival, both Las Cruces and the entertainment industry have never been the same. Her personal dedication to students and professional dedication to the entertainment industry lives on in the ACTS Scholarship Program.
